During the January 2011 school holidays, Films on the Fly, in conjunction with the Media Resource Centre will be running the Linkr Film School, a Multipath Film making event which will introduce the concept of Multpath film to students through a 5 day intensive film making workshop.
We are currently targeting high school students who will be available during the January 2011 South Australian school holidays, with the event running from the 10th to 14th of January (to be confirmed).
The workshop will be an opportunity for students to get hands on experience with film making, learn about interactive media, and enhance their creativity.
The workshop can hold up to 25 participants, with the applicants separated into groups. Each group is expected to finish 1 short film by the end of the workshop. The workshop will focus on collaborative film making, with individual films being part of a larger story. We aim to inspire students to continue learning and producing their own films even when the workshop is over.
Restrictions: Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
Cost : $330/per person – Includes full access to film making facilities. Each group will have access to a Sony HDV Z1p camera (or similar), plus a Tripod, Sound equipment, Mac OSX/Final Cut Pro edit machine and a basic Sound Library.
A special earlybird payment fee of $300 is available if paid before the 20th of December.
Grey Phoenix Productions has kindly offered to sponsor half of the costs for two participants, should they provide suitable evidence of financial hardship.
